Salem Corvallis Oregon Coast Concerts
category: Oregon Concerts,
Salem, Corvallis and Oregon coast Concerts offer a wide range of musical entertainment spanning a plethora of genres. Interestingly, in the heart of these locations lies the tiny town of Monmouth, Oregon, home of Western Oregon University and the best music college in the state. What makes WOU the best music university in Oregon, is the combination of highly qualified faculty with vibrant students in the highest faculty to student ratio teaching environment statewide.
Salem Oregon concerts include great choirs, a local community orchestra and a few nice live performance venues.
Corvallis concerts are less plentiful than Salem and include OSU and a much smaller live local performance venue setting.
Oregon Coast concert opportunities vary widely, with little to nothing in most coastal locations to world touring headliners popping up at casinos, such as Chinook Winds.
Unlike the Portland Oregon Symphony Orchestra and other big venues, did you know that some of those high ticket touring acts perform at WOU for FREE or a very small fee? Each college quarter, the Western Music department offers a wide range of talented student concerts as well as a full plate of professional performances by touring musicians. Styles range from early music, to classical, to jazz, blues, singer songwriter varieties and dozens of specialty world genres, such as a Brazilian combo.
Most WOU Concerts are free to the public, while admission for featured guest artists is generally less than $10.
