Early Music Consort
Western Oregon University has the most impressive Early Music program in the state of Oregon. Led by Dr. Keller Coker, the ensemble utilizes an impressive collection of period instruments, including baroque violin, baroque viola, harpsichord and the largest number of viola de Gamba's in Oregon.
The term Early Music is generally regarded to be all music prior to 1750, including music from the middle ages, Renaissance and Baroque periods.

- George Frederic Handel (1685-1759)
The Early Music Consort encourages all interested students to audition. Prior experience with viola da Gamba is not required.
